Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses several important segments on historic factography of Žepa. It is about the status of the positioning from the end of the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian rule of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the Yugoslav integration and disintegration, including the current situation related to the re-constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an internationally recognized state, and on the basis of the Dayton peace agreement from 1995. The paper also argues longtime continuation of life in the area which resulted in numerous cultural and historical attractions, such as the medieval necropolis, towers and bridges, including the discovery of some subjects whose age goes back millennia, as well as unusual natural beauty of the area, to this day preserved in its authenticity. All this could be used as an important comparative advantage in the future development of the region.
