Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the data discovered as a result of excavation of five kurgans located in the Middle Prut area. There are twenty five funeral monuments which reflect events and different historical epochs; late Eneolithic burial 4/6 is of a special interest. It belongs to a relatively small number of kurgan burials found in the agricultural area associated with the Cucuteni-Tripolye culture. The burial is a circular pit, with a skeleton lying on its right side in a crouched position, with its head facing the east. Other kurgans were erected in the Early Bronze epoch by the bearers of the „Jamnaia” culture. Secondary burials are attributed to the „Catacomb”, KMK, sarmatian cultures and the later nomads.
