Summary/Abstract: Nigeria currently suffers a gangrene condition. Security deficits are merely emblematic or symptomatic of an unhealthy state. The crises of the Nigerian state are such that there is no consensus yet on the narrative. This paper identified the basis of the dilemma in the unresolved and unsettling issues constituting the National Question. With a reliance on secondary data backed by textual analysis, the implications of the complex interface between terrorism and security deficits in the Nigerian state were highlighted. The suggestions proffered are capable of addressing the maladies.
