Tradycyjny obraz konfesji na Śląsku Cieszyńskim na podstawie źródeł folklorystycznych
Traditional Picture of Confessions in the Cieszyn Silesia Based on Folklore Sources

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to describe the images of religions and religious believers from the historical point of view as we can find it in folkloristic texts from the Cieszyn Silesia region. The analysis has shown that the images are very schematic and stereotyped. The most important fact in this picture is that the main religious image is catholic one. The image of members of evangelical church is described by differences to the catholic one. The other religions are strange for regional life in this type of texts, as characteristic only for foreigners.
