Summary/Abstract: In this article the theoretical basis and legal foundation on the judgment or decision of the arbitration process, which is known as award, as is the concept used in the context of the right to appoint the decision rendered is reviewed by an arbitrator or conciliator can resolve a conflict between two or more parties. However, the main feature of arbitration, unlike the process that is the foundation that gives voluntariness, as the parties decide to resolve their disputes freely through this mechanism. This document is the product of a documentary descriptive research, which through a literature review facilitated the acquisition of knowledge required for the description of the judgment or arbitral decision. As a result of the commitment identification is achieved, with special reference to the referees and the judgment to appeals in various fields, among others. They concluded that there is the need to understand how the effects of the arbitration award product are mandatory compliance, in order to be able to reach an appropriate resolution of the dispute and the various avenues of appeal that may arise.
