The developing the civil aviation in the SSRM (1958-1974)

Summary/Abstract: In the present article are shown the problems of the development of the air transportation in the SSRM during the centralized system of command. Despite the administrative control, under which fell even the schedule of the air flights, the air transportation was in a continuous development. By the end of the 60ies the civil aviation was already playing a significant role in the economy of the republic. The airplanes of the civil aviation were ensuring the transportation of the passengers, goods, and mail. By the mid of the 70ies the air transportation became a mass transportation, accessible to the biggest part of the population. The civil aviation started from being a small air group and evolved to becoming an agency – Moldavian Command of civil aviation.
