Summary/Abstract: The intention of the article is to present the specific situation on the labour market of single mothers. Back to the labour market after the birth, is a big challenge, especially when a woman is deprived of help from a partner. Than the division of responsibilities between both parents is impossible. The main purpose of this article is to show premises to take the comprehensive solutions in the scope of social policy. The nalysis of the relation between single motherhood and the labour market is based on research carried out in 2015 on two groups of respondents – single mothers and entrepreneurs from the district of Radom. The article tries to answer the questions about the needs of both sides of this relation.
