Summary/Abstract: While Albanians may lack many things, they certainly do not have any shortage of political parties,or of newspapers, which are in abundance. In a country of only three million people, there are more than 70 parties and 20 dailies. One might think that Albanians simply read too much, which would explain everything. But the figures show something different. Out of the four most popular newspapers, only top-ranked Shekulli claims a significant circulation, selling around 24,000 copies per day.
