Summary/Abstract: The authors aim to present a first series of 13 decorations and medals awarded by the Kingdom of Romania between 1878 and 1933. They represent both civilian and military awards and entered in the numismatic collection of the Institute of Archaeology – Iași, through various donations. These medals, although we do not know their actual owners or their deeds, bear witness of our national history in the last 150 years
