SLD - the problem of identity

Summary/Abstract: The article describes reflections of political and ideological identity of Sojusz LewicyDemokratycznej. This problem is considered from two points of view – firstly by looking at selfimagecreated by SLD, on the other hand based on the opinions of scholars, political commentators,journalists and polls about public perception of political phenomena. The purpose of the article is topay attention to the dilemmas and inconsistencies resulting from political activity of the party. Themain intention was to try to answer the question about sources of problem with identity of SLD.
