The end of a myth or If Mikluš is not Mikluš

Summary/Abstract: The paper briefly discusses about the person of former administrator of Košice prison Francis Miklóssy and his situation in the second half of the 19th century. It also presents biographical data from his life. Contribution mainly deals with research results and brings new knowledges in relation to the naming of building as Mikluš´s prison. Author points the details from disputes about the origin of name. On the base of research of printed daily newspapers is clear that the old story that building name was derivated from executioner Mikluš, living in the early 18th century is not true. The available resources expressly declares that name was derivated from Francis Miklóssy.
