Summary/Abstract: Vsevolod Meyerhold introduced under the pseudonym Dr. Dapertutto elements of comedy, dance, gymnastics, acrobatics and Asian techniques among his theatrical methods with the aim to allow actors to control intentionally the mechanisms of their moving and the flux of energy. Later he developed the so called biomechanic studies (études), integrating them into his performances in order to enlarge the emotional potential of theatre.
