Summary/Abstract: In this study it is aimed to measure burnout levels of 119 academicians working in a state university via Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI). Yet another aim is to determine if the burnout levels of academicians differ from each other to certain demographic variables. Acording to findings; burnout levels of academicians vary depending on administrative tasks, course load and having course in evening class. But field of study and academic title have no significant effect on burnout levels. It is indicated that the study had some limitations and some suggestions made to academicians about coping with burnout at individual and organizational level. In conclusion some guiding suggestions have been made for future researchers
