Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to examine ethnic identity of Albanians both inside and outside of Albania.This paper is based on field research and qualitative research conducted in Albania andKosovo. The paper follows several basic ethnic differentiation characters and their relevancein the construction of ethnic identities selected groups living in Albania and Kosovo. Thework is focused on the question of language, religion, historical memory, politics, ethnicstereotypes and perceptions of ethnic itself.
