Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to present some statistical data on the rural population of Oltenia in the 1930s. To this end, we have made use of the 1931-1940 statistical yearbooks of Romania and studies written mainly by collaborators of Dimitrie Gusti, such as Dumitru C. Georgescu, Sabin Manuilă or I. Measnicov.
