Summary/Abstract: Dea Loher belongs to the post-modern period of the German language theatre, and she is one of its the most popular and interesting figures. Her work first appeared on a Polish theatrical stage in 2001 when the Polish Theatre in Wroclaw presented Klaras Verhältnisse [Clara’s Relations]. The play was so popular that within a very short period of time three more theatres as well as eminent directors such as Krystian Lupa and Magdalena Łazarkiewicz were involved in new stage productions. Because each realization of the play differs from others, this rather confirms the common opinion about Loher. She is perceived as an author who loves to present the problems of the modern world while – at the same time – she skirts giving straight answers to difficult questions.
