Summary/Abstract: This paper is focusing on work migration of the Uzbek inhabitants, for who is migration theonly possible solution for their unsatisfactory economic situation. The mobility of labour isaffecting not only migrants themselves, but also their families and the whole society they livein. The study is complemented by the testimonies of the local people obtained from an originalfield work research conducted in Uzbekistan in 2012.
