Images of My Self

Summary/Abstract: I make self-portraits using photography. How often does the phrase, “that’s a good picture,” really mean, “I recognise me/you in that image”? I find when I look at an image of me I sometimes wonder, who is the stranger in the picture? So I was left with the question: “What happens in the gap between me and the image of me”? This research is concerned with thinking as photographic self-imaging. The knowledge is in the self-portraiture using digital photographic technology: taking self and making self-portraiture.
