Corruption in Higher Education in Transitional Countries

Summary/Abstract: †he subject of this paper is corruption in education system with a special attention to the corruption in the subsystem of higher education in transitional countries. In its focus, the contribution identifies possible forms of corruption at various levels of higher education – national ministries for education, higher educational institutions and at the level of academic personnel, students and their parents. Also, on the basis of research results obtained in transitional countries and from certain international organizations, the paper offers action directions of main social agents in the fight against corruption in higher education.
