Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the acoustic correlates of speech rhythm in utterances produced by native speakers of Polish and non-native speakers of Polish with Korean and German accent. The research material consisted of recordings of a story, annotated with respect to different levels of prominence and prosodic phrase boundaries. On the basis of the annotations, a multidimensional analysis was carried out in order to study the realization of rhythmic structure and grouping related, respectively, to prominence and phrasing. The results made it possible to determine the contribution of duration and fundamental frequency (F0) parameters to the realization of rhythmic structure and grouping, and to account for the perceptually noticeable differences in the rhythm of utterances produced by the native and non-native speakers, as well as the discrepancy between the two non-native accents.
