Summary/Abstract: P.А. Popov was one of the most persistent creditors of F.M. Dostoevsky. In his strive to wheedle money out of the writer that experienced creditor not only resorted to regular visits to Dostoevsky’s apartment but skillfully applied methods of psychological pressure in his letters. His letters are published in full for the first time.
