A different approach to the etymology of the word "praca" ’

Summary/Abstract: In the current paper I present an etymological explanation of the Polish word "praca" 'work'. This proposition is not new but seems to have been almost forgotten. What is more, it has not yet been presented in Polish scientific literature. Formally correct etymology is based on the semantic motivation of words denoting the work. The semantic aspect makes it more credible than the other (more popular) solution presented in etymological dictionaries.
