Aesthetism, evolving from romanticism has developed into a strong and fruitful cultural and artistic movement. The ritual attitude towards beauty underlines the basic theses of aestheticism — the ideal is superior to life itself, beauty is above everything, there is no place for moral and immoral in the world of the beautiful.
