Summary/Abstract: Zbog odsustva nacionalnog imidža države Bosne i Hercegovine, manipulacija je kod nas svakodnevna pojava i većina primjera se odnosi upravo na ponašanje političkih moćnika, medija i velikih kompanija, gdje se zanemaruje moralnost ciljeva te se sve okreće ka pojačavanju vlasti, profita i moći. Propaganda i manipulacija su punim plućima inkorporirane u naše sisteme. Konstantno postoji želja da se uvjeri, dobije, nametne, prevari, suzbije, zaradi, očara, uliže, osvoji i prilagodi. Što nije moguće bez propagande i manipulacijskih metoda. Mediji dakako tu igraju ključnu ulogu kao nezaobilazna poluga. Neophodno je kreirati plansku strategiju promoviranja pozitivnog imidža države. Neophodno je identificirati koji bi to bosanskohercegovački brendovi mogli promijeniti njen imidž, a odmah poslije toga privući medije, koji bi trebali te brendove plasirati na najbolji način. Politiku i prošlost nije moguće isključiti, niti ih treba ignorirati, naprotiv, neophodno je njihove loše strane neutralizirati i maksimalno iskoristiti prethodna iskustva iz prošlosti. Manipulation seems to be very present in Bosnia and Herzegovina, mainly because of the lack of a clear picture of national image. Examples of manipulation and corruption can mainly be found amongst political leaders, in the media and also within big corporations, where morality of goals is under neglect and everything in directed only towards gaining power and making profit. Propaganda and manipulation have completely become a part of our systems. There is a constant wish to convince, gain, control, deceive, cheat, conquer and adjust. All of these are methods of propaganda and manipulation. Media play the key role in this mass manipulation. It is absolutely necessary to create a planned strategy to promote a positive national image of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also necessary to identify which BH brands could change a country’s image for the better, and attract the media, which should promote these brands better internationally. It is not possible to change or switch off politics and our past, nor should they be ignored, in fact it is a necessity to neutralize their bad sides and use the experiences from the past to make a better future.
