Summary/Abstract: In this article the authors discuss the phenomenon of the political subjectivity of a community. Lack of the subjectivity in modern Poland is indisputable, the key questions being: what causes this situation, its consequences for Poland in the modern world, and how to overcome the incapacition of a community. The authors claim that one of the sources of the subjectivity is the Catholic Church; it is one of the elements that define a civil society in Poland.
