Summary/Abstract: This article would like to show l´UMA (l´Union du Maghreb Arabe) and analyses their history. The Maghreb area is interesting because of its culture, religion and nations. Its policy is very important for the EU, as well. Especially security and migration issues are important. The coordination between the EU and the UMA is important for common future. There are some examples of cooperation of the UMA and the other international organisation, like the UNESCO. There are some problems, especially rate of democracy in Maghreb and the bad cooperation between it‘s states. The UMA is a little known organisation but it‘s development can influence the European issues. The Spanish presidency of the EU wants to improve Euro – Mediterranean development. But the real impact we will see in the future.
