Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author describes the categories of persons empowered to initiate appeal and who may participate in its judgment. The structure and content of the article reveal the comments upon the parties, upon the prosecutor, upon third parties (the third parties whose application for voluntary intervention or for forced entrance was rejected as inadmissible, third parties who may directly intervene in the appeal procedure, third parties which may initiate an appeal), taking into consideration, for the purpose of the above-mentioned, the doctrine developed by certain important names in the field of law (A. Ciucă, F.A. Baias, V. Belegante, T.C. Briciu, V.M. Ciobanu, C.C. Dinu, B. Dumitrache, G. Florea, M. Fodor, I. Gîlcă, D. Ghinoiu, C. Irimia, A. Nicolae, M. Nicolae E. Oprina, A. Rădoi, M. Stancu, A.
