Summary/Abstract: According to a memorial tablet from the nowadays Corneliu Coposu - the former Király (Kings') - Street from Zilah (Zalău) the Swedish king, Charles XII had visited and stayed for a night in the former parish house of the reformed church from the town in the 9th of November 1714. The paper tries to draw attention on this forgotten moment of the town's history, and to elucidate certain questions related to this royal "visit".
