Summary/Abstract: This aim of the study was to examine the student expenditures in conjunction with the extend of the economic contribution using surveys implemented towards the students of Ataturk University in October 2012. It was found out that one student spends 549,63 Turkish Lira in average per month. 12.500 students within Ataturk University campus, having considered the academic year as 8 months, contribute to the province economy about 54.9 million Turkish Liras in total per year. While accommodation with 21,23% was found to be the most spending item, communication with 3,67% were the least spending item.
