Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the exploration of the sources of the establishment of the essence of the university stage of secondary school teachers’ preparation in inter-war Poland on the basis of the master’s program approved by the subject ministry on pedagogy, as well as the peculiarities of its implementation within the educational process at Lviv University. Laws and subordinate legislation of the Second Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth regulating due constituent of higher education and the curriculum of Jan Kazimir University in Lviv have been analyzed.
