Summary/Abstract: Advertising is a frequently encountered component of promotion-a component of marketing mix-in daily life of the people. In recent years, to protect people from harmful habits, the ads are published in the public spotlight in order to inform them to be coincided. In the public spotlight ads, sometimes the importance of seat belts in case of a crash is emphasized, while sometimes how harmful habits such as alcohol or smoking threaten human health take place. In this study, the effect of the public spotlight ads on smokers was researched and the answer for the question whether these ads affect non-smokers or not was tried to be revealed.
