SLAVKO JANEVSKI - FOUNDER OF THE MYTHICAL AND HISTORICAL VERTICAL OF THE MACEDONIAN NOVELISTIC PRODUCTION (ON THE OCCASION OF THE 95TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS BIRTH)

Summary/Abstract: The text sets out the thesis that if the chronological principle has lost its primacy in interpreting the Macedonian literary history, Slavko Janevski can be placed at the foot of the so-called "Mythical-Historical" vertical in the history of the Macedonian novel. The article points out the basic features of this vertical: interference between the mythical and historical, the allegorical and the fantastic, and the past and the present. The article argues this thesis by pointing to other, younger writers who are attached to the Janevski experience, as Slobodan Mickovic, Dragi Mihajlovski, Venko Andonovski Bratislav Taskovski.
