Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on ride sharing as the example of collaborative consumption (CC) phenomenon. The paper presents CC as a relatively new research area in the economics. The main contribution of this paper is based on presenting research results that identify motives standing behind inclination to collaborate with other consumers in the form of ride sharing.
