Summary/Abstract: Transactional analysis examines various ego states including the role and significance of Child ego state. This ego state expresses the most primal and regressive thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Strategies and resources coming from Adult ego state constitute a kind of protection against excessive infantilisation, dysfunctional behaviours and inappropriately shaped personality of an individual, which often result from traumas or deficits experienced by an inner Child.
