Summary/Abstract: Using this slightly provocative title, we consider the role of activating during workshop activities, which is based on the mutual meeting of an academic teacher, a student and a child. Facing the educational trend of e-learning, we would like to ask a few questions about the need of direct interpersonal relations in the XXIth century. The necessity of meetings is indispensable, and the slogans connected with e-learning are not efficient at touching the most subtle educational areas, such as evoking emotions, showing passion, reacting to doubts, giving an example. Assuming such a way of educating does not leave almost any space for creative approach, which gives an infinite number of solutions and where the process of reaching a goal is important, not the goal itself. E-learning can facilitate the access to knowledge and can be efficient in numerous fields, however, there are some educational directions, where the face to face relation is irreplaceable. Personal social involvement and pedagogical experience are important in the education of pedagogues. Unfortunately, the teaching that bases on workshops and laboratory classes is expensive, and right now the biggest pressure is put on the economy of education. Even if workshop education generates bigger costs, a teacher with passion cannot be replacedby a e-learning platform, as education is not about isolation. Basing on our observation, the best effects are achieved during groupwork, when all the participants are actively involved in an activity. Is it really possible for one to feel a part of the community of teachers, animators or art educators when one sits alone in front of a computer screen solving tasks about the methodological correctness of a lesson plan?
