Summary/Abstract: Queen Elisabeth - Carmen Sylva - the poet princess represented for the Romanian people a pathfinder. Through her youth, literary talent, goodwill and kindness, she brought Romania on a new scale among the European societies. Her marriage to prince Carol meant for the princess assuming a new choice, a choice which would be for Romania the beginning of a golden era. Elisabeth, Queen of Romania brought with her the subtleties of German culture, subtleties which imposed themselves among the Romanian elite society and which created a new Romanian state, stronger and more independent.
