DEVELOPMENT OF A MUNICIPAL BOND MARKET IN BULGARIA: THE MISSION IS POSSIBLE

Summary/Abstract: The paper is intended to study the municipal bond issue’s comparative advantages over the alternative debt instruments available to the municipality, as well as the alternative investment instruments available to the investors. On the base of a diagnostic analysis of the development stage of Bulgarian municipal bond market, some assessments, conclusions, and recommendations have been summarized and presented.
