Summary/Abstract: Transport in the agricultural sector is a specific kind of transport, both in terms of the loads carried (livestock, perishable cargo) and of their cyclicality, and of the transport routes (which are often field tracks). Its proper functioning, not only requires smooth transportation, but also a reduction of costs. According to estimates, transport constitutes up to 50% of the total production costs in this sector. A good means of internal (within the area belonging to the farm) and external transport (off-farm), they guarantee the smooth transport of raw materials of vegetable (fruit and vegetables) and livestock, forcing farmers to purchase tractors, meet certain technical requirements, but greatly improves the quality of transport at the farm.
