Summary/Abstract: In the investigations carried out from the viewpoint of the functional approach, the language units are distinguished and described according to their functional qualities. In philosophical meaning, motion is the way of existence of the substance, its indispensable feature and attribute. The motion can be defined as a free or causal process of change of material objects in space according to definite point of reference. In the linguistic plan, motion is a notion peculiar to any object that has such characteristics as universality, continuity, duration in space, direction, mode, intensity and environment of movement. The process of motion is, from grammatical viewpoint, an action expressed by the verb.
