The way to the history of Slovak theatre

Summary/Abstract: The paper is dedicated to the issues of formulating an approach and a structure of the creation of the written history of the theatre, starting off with the traditional, through chronological observation of theatrical events and productions related to the development of theatrical/cultural events in the neighbouring countries, down to the most recent trends of theatre research within a broader context, involving several scientific disciplines (anthropology, psychology, gender theory, etc.). Both approaches are based on interdisciplinary investigation.
