Summary/Abstract: This paper attempts to locate the ’place’ of the utopian discourse, as a conceptual frame of the construction of fictional worlds. It focuses on certain assessments about early utopian texts, which try to identify the ’space’ of their specific discourse into a matter of temporal dimension the narrative function shapes. This temporal“ space“ is isolated from the historical and from the transcendent time alike. Later on, the ’place’ of the utopian discourse will be no longer isolated, and ought to be located in history. The paper does not explain this fact by a disguised historical feature of the Utopia, but rather assessing a historical promotion of certain political myths by the collective imaginary.
