Summary/Abstract: Implementation of sustainable development on organizational level (meaning corporate sustainability) represents governing model oriented towards longterm economic, ecological and social performance. Crucial process for understanding of corporate sustainability is resolution of diverse pressures and requirements of those who govern corporations as well as diverse external pressures consequently reflecting on gaining or loosing of corporate reputation. Aiming at conceptualization and validation of corporate sustainability, phenomenon is compared with sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, business ethics and stakeholder management. Empirical validation of corporate sustainability of large Croatian companies implies priority of ethical behavior on executive and board level as well as ethical behavior of all employees. However, there are significant potentials for improvement of corporate sustainability practice in terms of environmental and stakeholder commitment.
