Summary/Abstract: The author of this article traces the core stages of development of the Catholic Apostolate in the Jochid Ulus. Latin sources about missionary activity of the Franciscans in the Golden Horde contain valuable information on religious policy of Jochid khans, Mengu-Timur, Tokhta and Uzbeg, and, at the same time, provide data about daily life of nomads, and the central cities of the Golden Horde Volga region.
