Summary/Abstract: Conflict of law is a very known concept in international private law. The conflict of law appears when a legal case has a foreign element. Also, we would like to mention that conflict of laws is a word that designates international private law in countries, such as United Kingdom. Lex loci protectionis and lex originis are rules that will be applied in case of conflicts of law in copyright or industrial property law. Nowadays, lex loci protectionis is becoming the main rule in solving a conflict of law. Lex loci protectionis is applied in conflicts of law regarding industrial property law and both rules, lex loci protectionis and lex originis, are applied in conflicts of laws regarding copyright and related rights aspects.
