Geoeconomic aspects of sustainable development policy

Summary/Abstract: In the last two decades of the twentieth century, there were profound changes in the global economy. Several new concepts that emerged in the past few years may shed light on the nation’s competitiveness in the time of globalization. Geoeconomics is a concept very useful for the analysis of sustainable development policy in practice. The article recognizes and describes some aspects of the geopolitical and geoeconomic global sustainable development. The authors show the geoeconomic significance of food sovereignty and food safety within the national economy and global economy.
