Factors of the insufficient realization of Millennium Development Goals - global analysis

Summary/Abstract: The article analyses Millennium Development Goals realization in the period 2000–2015. The investigation also considered the barriers of making the achievement of these goals difficult. The article introduces new challenges of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. The main barriers of the effective realization of Millennium Development Goals are: (1) lack of sufficient political willingness for the international co-operation, (2) lack of the global population and emigration policy, (3) shortage of the global environmental protection programmes, (4) excessive military expenses and war conflicts, (5) fueled political, cultural and religious conflicts, (6) insufficient level of tolerance, (7) shortage of sufficient economic supplies and money. Their limitation was foreseen in the new document prepared on the years 2015–2030 under the name Sustainable Development Agenda 2030. An approach based on the critical opinion of information, empirical data and formulated conclusions was used.
