Summary/Abstract: A thinker of the open structure, of a structure not metrically closed which leaves room for the vital exploration of the possible, Jean-Jacques Wunenburger placed his work under the flag – the word is not too strong for this warlike philosopher who could have been a “general” – of contradictory reason. This article seeks to locate its philosophical gesture, working with the polarity of the force and the form, while placing it under the auspices of two exemplary images: the warrior and the geographer. It explores the manner in which philosophy finds in the thought of Nietzsche a metaphysics of becoming and in that of Bachelard the features of its method which gives to the dynamogenic tension a place of choice.
