Summary/Abstract: Considering the subject in general, the issue of desire did not awaken any special interest among theologians, whether on the part of the Scholastics (where it was considered an irrational element), or on the part of moral theology, which viewed it above all as covetousness or lust, making it a threat to the life of grace.
