Summary/Abstract: In the theoretical part of the article draws attention to the effects of the impact of foreign direct investment on international trade. The article refers to concepts indicating the substitution and complementary relationship between them. Reference was made also to the impact of FDI on qualitative changes in the commodity structure of exports. In the empirical part focuses on the Polish manufacturing exports. It is here that focuses the export activity of companies with foreign participation and an important part of the Polish manufacturing exports falls on these companies. The article examined the changes in the commodity structure of Polish exports in the context of the dynamics of its convergence process to the exports structure of the G7 countries. An attempt was made to determine how it can be justified by the activity of entities with foreign capital.
