The process of granting established by Moldavian Voivods of the legal and fiscal immunities to monastery villages of Iasi County

Summary/Abstract: Having a number of published documents as basis, the author aims at pursuing the process of granting legal and fiscal immunities to monastery villages of Iasi County. As a result, it was found that the exemptions were made for the benefit of monasteries and only the abbot could judge monastic villagers for their actions.
